About Us

We are an Essex-based events collective, specialising in Giant Tipi Hire and all the things that go inside and outside them to give your occasion exactly the look and feel you have in mind. From furniture and styling, to mobile bars and glamping, we draw upon a wealth of options to build tipi hire packages that take all the work out of making your day special. We believe that all events are and should always be treated as unique occasions and, as such, we aim to create truly amazing event experiences that are tailored just for you. From stunning weddings to corporate events for thousands of people; children’s sleepovers to a pop-up festival; we may start with a tipi but that is only the beginning of making your vision a reality.

 

While we are based in Essex, we also cover Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Kent, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and London. If you are based further away and keen for us to help you with your event, please get in touch and we’d still be happy to help if we can!

Our story

Hullabaloo Events was created when two of our founders were planning their own wedding and couldn’t find what they knew they wanted. They trailed around dozens of events and venues, becoming ever more tired of ‘traditional’ venues that wouldn’t let you do things your way and only offered cookie-cutter packages. They wanted something different, something that truly spoke of them and not someone else’s vision of what a wedding day should look like.

 

Then they stumbled upon the idea of Giant Tipi Marquees – perfect!

 

But even this option had its complications. After doing some initial research, it was hard to find quotes for tipis that included all the ‘little extras’ that turn a tipi into a spectacular venue and centre point for a truly unique and memorable day.

 

They knew they couldn’t be alone. So, the desire was ignited to help other couples solve the same problem – how to create their dream day with clear and simple combinations, based around amazing tipi structures that took care of as much or as little of the planning and execution as required. They firmly believe that no-one should have to settle for anything less than a bespoke and spectacular venue, and no one should have to follow a ‘traditional’ schedule or do ‘what’s expected’ unless they want to.

 

So here at Hullabaloo Events, our philosophy is not just that all of our customers should have something unique to them, but that they shouldn’t become stressed or confused getting there either. We can help you as much or as little as you want. From simply hiring our beautiful Giant Tipi Marquees, to mobile bars; planning corporate events and even full wedding coordination. With roots in marketing and public relations, Bryony has worked on events from celebrity launch parties and fancy dinners, to conferences and exhibitions for a host of household and corporate names. She found a passion for event planning while taking the lead on several friends’ and family members’ big days; amplified when lining up everything for her own nuptials. Bryony is creative, thinks big and can help you make your unique vision a true reality.

Andrew

Co-Founder & Director

 

Andrew is a true problem solver. Working as a small business owner, carpet fitter and events crew for several decades has given him an amazing perspective on how to bring a project together.

Spenser is an engineer by trade and loves to get hands-on. You’ll find him rigging the tipis, moving furniture or basically helping out wherever some heavy lifting is needed.

James has owned and run an events logistics company for decades – designing unique corporate experiences and working for names from Unison to Government Party Conferences to Alpro. James knows how events work and how to get the best experience for everyone – trust him to pull together all the logistics you need.
